v0.7 is out!


This release is all about gameplay improvements. The major change is fixing one graphical glitch that made ceilings float out of the geometry on some occasions.

This bug was in the renderer since the start of the project and I neglected it for so long because it was a real pain to debug. All good now.

In other news, instead of making a new map (which I also did, it is just not finished yet), I've made modifications to spawn pickups on 2p_greenpath, tweaked the central storage area on 3p_shotgun_frenzy and attempted to make 4p_neon less shitty.

Bot behavior was also modified. They are now more likely to pickup the more heavy weapons like laser crossbow, rocket launcher and ballista. Their movement patterns in combat were modified, hopefully for the better. And their reflexes had to be nerfed because the aforementioned tweaks made them much better at the game :D.

The bots still have tendencies at getting stuck at certain places. This is another long-living bug that I am too lazy to address, but I will return to it eventually.

Remaining noteworthy additions are that you can now control the whole game using a gamepad - in menus you use the left stick to move the mouse cursor. It is not the best solution and my menu framework won't allow me to do any better, but it is at least something.

Last but not least, new decorative items were added - a water fountain, a pedestal with alien artefact and wires hanging from the ceiling, occasionally short-circuiting themselves.
