Rend v0.2.0 is out!
Rend » Devlog
Took me long enough, but today I've released a version 0.2.0! Many things happened, most notably in terms of accessibility, loading times, gameplay and a new map.
You can find the in-depth discussion about the changes on my blog. A brief version of the changelog can be found at the end of this post.
There are some issues I've identified at last minute and will have to wait for the next releases:
- If you allow adding Start Menu app shortcut during installation, launching the game through this shortcut won't work as it uses bad working folder. Please launch the game directly from the `bin` folder (you can right click the .exe and send the shortcut to the Desktop, that will work).
- It is possible now to take screenshots with the key P. Screenshots will be stored in the `bin` folder. Unfortunately, they will currently be black for whatever reason.
- Not an issue, but FYI - after clicking Play button for the first time, a Windows Firewall pop-up will show up. Please allow the game for trusted networks (feel free to deny for public ones). Even though the game only supports a single player now, it uses the full server-client setup, so I can debug it and build upon it.
